Zenit pumps are robust, reliable and long lasting.
• Emptying of residential sump pits,
rainwater tanks or laundry drainage.
• Garden and lawn irrigation, with
suction from rainwater tanks.
• Emergency draining of flooded
basements and garages.
• Transfer of water from tanks
A grinder pump is placed in a tank (or well) that is buried in a convenient outdoor location on a homeowner’s or businesses property. The tank provides wastewater holding storage capacity. Waste from water-using appliances (toilets, bathtubs, washing machines, etc.) flows through the internal plumbing of the home or business into the grinder pump’s holding tank. When the wastewater in the tank reaches a certain pre-set level, the grinder pump automatically turns on, grinds the waste into a fine slurry, similar to a household garbage disposal unit, and pumps it out of the tank via the on-site sewer service line and into the public sewer system or into a septic tank. A grinder pump will normally run for one or two minutes and automatically turn off when the tank is emptied. The pump is powered by electricity and is connected to a control panel near your electric meter. The Zenit grinder pump is perfect for residential or commercial use in properties at low elevations, where gravity feed is not sufficient to remove wastewater.
